1. Overview :

Maybe you're one of the unlucky that has a crapy font in-game :

Or, even if your font is readble, maybe you don't have chinese characters :

The problem lies in the fact that Aglaia.exe just use some fonts without specifying font names. So, when the Operating System find a font that match the other font parameters (weight, width, height, fixed type...) it select the first it finds, and the result may vary from one user to another.

I have patch Aglaia.exe in order to force a font name to be use, as long as the width and height. Additionaly, I also forced the use of the Chinese charset. With this modified .exe the game finally use a good font for english characters...

Ok ok, this isn't perfect because some texts are larger than the window, like this...

but this isn't hapening often, and it can be easily fix later by editing the text files of the game.

Here's the modified exe : Aglaia.rar (309 KB).

In the event your Windows Operating System don't have the font SimHei installed, here's the file : simhei.rar (4.59 MB). Once extracted, put it in your Windows\Fonts directory (and eventually reboot, but that shouldn't be necessary).

If you don't know what to do with a .rar, get WinRAR.
